Trust in riding has many forms and meanings. Each of them adds to a foundation that gives you the calm and space to carry out training goals and competition plans.
Trust between rider and horse
It is belief in the horse’s ability and the conviction that, at the critical moment, it will add the missing piece. This kind of trust is built over time; it takes getting to know each other and testing your limits together.
Trust in your trainer
The path a trainer chooses is not always obvious, and not always the one the rider dreamed of. Sometimes the feedback after a round is not what you want to hear. For a partnership that isn’t built on constantly questioning the methods, you need trust and a willingness to be guided.
Trust in yourself
The third and most important. Belief in your own abilities doesn’t rule out further work on yourself, but in difficult moments it gives you calm, builds self-worth and keeps you from giving up, even in times of crisis and doubt.
